Jim started the company in 1983 with a Football Teammate and lifetime friend, Allen Deary. The company was born before Jim finished his civil engineering degree at Northeastern University. We started buying, renovating, and developing properties together. From there, Jim began a heavy civil construction business, and by 1999, he would go on to create J.B. Lanagan And Company Inc.

Jim is a family man with a strong Faith. He is a father to 2 daughters, 1 son, and 2 precious grandsons.

With a continued emphasis on family extending to the company, we began with one operator and one machine. They worked together from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and then returned to the home office to bid projects, send out invoices, and pay bills. In the next 20 years, Jim would grow the business, adding one to two team mates a year.

Today, our company has grown to 40 plus teammates with over 40 pieces of heavy iron. We do over 12 million in business annually with our smart, loyal, hardworking team. Our " working family" cares about the projects, the clients, and each other and believes that "Together we do move mountains" with very satisfied customers whose expectations are exceeded with an end product we are very proud of.~

Suzanne coordinates weekly team building meetings for Office staff updates our website design and assists the team in moving forward.

Full charge Bookkeeper with 25 years’ experience: Human Resources: Assistant to the President: Assistant to the Lead Mechanic while maintaining Registrations, Permits, Licenses, Insurance, and Equipment spreadsheets. Ann is the glue that holds the company together.

Has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and over 10 years of Experience in heavy civil Estimation and Project Management. Sergio services the clients with the utmost respect and attention. He takes our clients from idea to budget pricing, through permitting right up to construction. Sergio has been bidding over $50M in annual bids with an extremely high success rate. Clients say they appreciate the level of commitment that Sergio exhibits.

Has a B. S. Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Shawn has over ten years of experience in heavy civil construction and Site Work. Shawn manages over $12,000,000 in excavation projects annually. Shawn's success and Client Satisfaction are at the top of the industry. Shawn has 100% Customer Satisfaction to date.

He attended the University of Maine for Mechanical Engineering. Eduardo is our utility man; his duties include estimating, permit acquisition, digging safe markets, and GPS Survey layout.
